For the time being, these will be the stepper motors I am going to attempt to work with. They look like they will work well. As needed, they are omnidirectional, so they will be able to move my piece back and forth. Here we go!

Bread + Soldering Iron = Stinky, Inedible Toast
Today I was wondering, "What happens to bread if you simply apply a hot iron to it?" Well, it turns out that it creates stinky, terrible tasting toast. Also, it destroys the surface of the toast. I guess a hot iron is not the solution. Back to the drawing boards!

Tamara Can Print
Today I figured out my 20x4 LCD display.
Although the information on it is not dynamic, I am confident that once I figure out how to extract the information from the RSS feed, I will be able to display it.
After that, all I will have left to figure out is how to print....ha ha ha...oh boy.
More Enabled Breakfast
Tweet-a-Pot: Twitter Enabled Coffee Pot
This is an instructable for making a coffee pot which you can enable remotely. This seems to come from a different perspective on data. Rather than twitter and information invading our lives, this piece is using twitter to inform our lives.

RSS Feed I am Working With
Weather Channel RSS Feed for 95112
This is the RSS Feed I am trying to work with right now. Eventually, I would like arudino to connect to this other website and select the RSS feed based on zip code, but for now, it will be static.

A cool toast artist
SashaPure
This wonderful artist, Sasha, has designed a non working toaster that works like an etch-a-sketch to toast a message. Interesting.

Servo City
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7--fx6fNsvU
Today I sat down with arduino and some continuous rotation servos (Parallax inc, model #900-00008). After some careful tinkering I have figured out how to set the servos to different rates of rotation and also move them in steps separately.
